Jan Schmitz, graduate industrial engineer and Head of Sales Technical Covers at ACO Passavant Detego began his professional career in Karlsruhe when he started studying at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. After completing his studies and a short excursion at BIRCO as a property manager, Jan Schmitz started at WAREMA Renkhoff SE as a trainee in sales.
After only two years, his potential was recognized and he was offered a position as branch manager in Hagen and the surrounding area. A few years later, he was able to take off as sales manager at Europe's leading manufacturer of technical products in the sun protection sector.
After eleven years, Jan Schmitz changed companies to expand his professional development. He used another three years to get to know the construction sector better until he was hired as sales director for ACO Passavant Detego in August 2021. He is responsible for the sales of "custom made covers". The focus of his work is to specifically adapt the products to customer project needs. His focus is on the DACH region and international expansion.
